Get this party started (again)
So I want to get this thing up and going again, just like I want to get POTD up and going again. Partly because I've been redesigning my web page and want something new for you to look at besides tweaked colors and well-aligned CSS boxes, partly because I've so enjoyed reading Cindy's blog, and partly because, while I work from home and I swear I'm very busy, I should be able to find the time to convey some of the wisdom that's going to waste in my head. Ha!
On the food front (because Cindy's always talking about it, because knowing her has made me more aware of the crap I eat, and because I think we should someday write a joint food column: foodie vs. food idiot), I was excited to find a few remaining McIntosh apples at Jewel yesterday. I thought they were probably long-gone, and I had found a hidden treasure. So far, though, they have no taste. Like, literally they taste like nothing. They smell like McIntosh apples, they look like them, but they taste like water and cold.
To celebrate a big check from a client (I'm still new enough at running my own business that I literally feel BAD when collecting large checks), I ordered out last night. Sadly, Opart Thai House is temporarily closed for remodeling, so I ordered Pad Thai and Basil Leaves with chicken from Arroy Thai. I know so little about food that I didn't remember what Pad Thai was like, but I now know that it's boring. The basil dish, though, was just spicy enough.Posted at December 10, 2004 12:59 PM, Categories: Beardcore
