What is YOUR rendering intent?
So I got this swanky new printer, an Epson 2200. THE shit as far as desktop printers go. Yet I can't make it work for crap. I even sprung for ImagePrint 5.6, essentially a $500 printer driver, and it's not looking much better. Photos are turning out kind of alright, but despite all I hear of IP producing perfect prints with no fuss, I'm not seeing it. Everything seems low on the yellow. Faces are too ruddy. And while trying to reproduce a concert poster, which looked beautiful on-screen I might add, I can't get the yellow anywhere NEAR where it's supposed to be. What the hell? The best I can do is to use IP's profiles to proof the colors in PhotoShop and predict roughly how crappy the results will look.
Why are you reading this?
In other news, I have decided not to pay for Diaryland anymore. I think the photos may soon disappear from this blog. I've been downloading it to back up for a future date when I set a blog up on my own website. Enough automated junk!
